Scholarship Description:The AXA Foundation is the philanthropic arm of AXA Financial, directing the company’s philanthropic and volunteer activities and working to improve the quality of life in communities across the country where AXA has a presence. AXA Achievementsm is the AXA Foundation’s innovative, long-term strategy to provide America’s youth with the advice and access necessary to succeed in college and beyond. In 2004, OCA partnered with AXA Foundation to award the OCA-AXA Achievementsm Scholarships.
Identify as Asian and/or Pacific Islander ethnicity as defined by the U.S. Census
Be a current Asian and/or Pacific Islander American high school senior enrolling in a U.S. accredited college or university in the Fall of 2011
Must apply for federal aid using the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) by April 4, 2011
Demonstrate financial need
Be a citizen, national, or legal permanent resident of the United States. Citizens of the Republic of the Marshall Islands, Federated States of Micronesia and the Republic of Palau are also eligible to apply
Have a cumulative Grade Point Average (GPA) of 3.0 or above (on a 4.0 scale)
Submit one letter of recommendation.
